Privacy policy

Supercar Rental Toronto ("we", "us") operates this website and the rental services described on it. This policy explains how we handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). By using the site or sending us a request, you agree to the practices described here.

What we collect

We only collect what we need to respond to you and arrange a rental:

• Contact details: your name, phone number and email address.
• Booking details: the vehicle you are interested in, pickup and return dates, and any notes you add to a booking or contact form.
• Rental documents: if a booking goes ahead, we may ask for a driver's licence, proof of insurance and a payment method. These are collected directly by our team, not through the website.
• Website usage data: standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed and how you arrived at the site, gathered through cookies and similar technologies described below.

How we use it

• Responding to rental inquiries and quote requests.
• Processing and confirming booking requests, usually by phone.
• Verifying eligibility to rent, including age, licence and insurance requirements.
• Managing deposits, payments, refunds and any charges related to a rental.
• Measuring how our website and advertising perform so we can improve them.
• Meeting legal obligations, for example responding to a lawful request from authorities.

We do not use your information for purposes unrelated to these without asking you first.

Forms and Formspree

The booking wizard and contact forms on this site are processed by Formspree, a third-party form service that delivers your submission to us by email. Formspree stores submissions on our behalf and handles them according to its own privacy policy. We do not use it to send marketing messages.

Cookies, Meta Pixel and advertising

We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. To understand whether those ads work, the site uses theMeta Pixel, a small piece of code provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. When it is active, the pixel sets cookies and sends Meta information about your visit, such as the pages you viewed and whether you submitted a booking request. Meta may combine this with information it already holds about you under its ownprivacy policy.

This data is used to:

• measure ad performance and conversions,
• show relevant ads to people who have visited the site, and
• build audiences of people similar to our customers.

You can limit this tracking by adjusting your ad preferences inside your Facebook or Instagram account, using your browser's cookie controls, or installing a tracking blocker. The site still works with cookies disabled.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only where it is needed to run the business:

• Advertising platforms such as Meta, for ad measurement as described above.
• Service providers that help us operate, including Formspree for forms and Cloudflare for hosting.
• Insurers, payment processors and authorities where required to complete a rental, handle a claim, or comply with the law.

We never sell personal information. We do not rent or trade customer lists.

Where your data is stored

Our service providers may store information on servers outside Canada, including in the United States. While it is there, it may be accessible to authorities in that country under local law. We choose providers with appropriate security practices and share only what is necessary.

How long we keep it

Inquiry and booking details are kept for as long as needed to serve you and to meet accounting, insurance and legal requirements, then deleted or anonymised. If you never proceed with a rental, we do not keep your inquiry longer than reasonably necessary.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limiting access to staff who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA you can:

• ask what personal information we hold about you and how it has been used,
• ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate,
• withdraw consent to further use, subject to legal or contractual limits, and
• make a complaint to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

We respond to requests within 30 days.

Children

Our services are for drivers aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The effective date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised.
